Fort Irwin Study
Cooltile IR Coatings developed by American Rooftile Coatings (ARC) were shown to reduce electricity costs by 35%. The study was conducted in 2008 and 2009 at Fort Irwin, a US Army base in the Mojave desert of California with over 20,000 residents. The study was conducted by the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) as part of the Building Technologies Program. This study was used to demonstrate the validity of a nationally recognized Roof Savings Calculator.
